The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre is pleased to present Bold Horizons & Cozy Threads: A Celebration of Colour, a vibrant solo exhibition by artist Lisa Leskien, on view in the Joyner Gallery until June 28, 2026.
This engaging exhibition explores the dynamic interplay between expansive, expressive landscapes and the warmth of intimate, textile-inspired works. Through bold colour palettes and layered textures, Leskien invites viewers into a world where sweeping horizons meet the comfort and familiarity of handcrafted forms. Her work reflects a thoughtful balance between the personal and the expansive, capturing moments of both reflection and connection.
Drawing inspiration from the natural environment as well as the tactile qualities of fabric and pattern, Leskien’s pieces celebrate colour as both an emotional and visual language. The exhibition encourages visitors to consider how we experience place—both outwardly in the landscapes around us and inwardly through memory, comfort, and creativity.
The public is invited to attend the closing reception on Sunday, June 28, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., with remarks at 2:30 p.m. This will be an opportunity to meet the artist and learn more about her creative process.
Admission to the gallery is free, and all are welcome.
